Meet Dr. Chloe Foster

Experienced Psychologist 

I’m a Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in helping people overcome anxiety disorders—whether it’s Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), emetophobia, social anxiety, panic, or worry about health. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a highly effective, evidence-based approach that helps people understand and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour. With years of experience, I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

MY APPROACH 

​My approach is grounded in a deep belief in the power of CBT to create meaningful, lasting change. CBT is widely regarded as the gold standard treatment for anxiety disorders, and its effectiveness is strongly supported by research. I bring a compassionate, warm, and collaborative style to my work, aiming not only to reduce distressing symptoms but also to support you in moving toward your goals and building a more fulfilling future.

 

​I specialise in helping people overcome anxiety — whether it’s something you have recently experienced or something you've been living with for years. Using my in-depth knowledge of anxiety disorders and extensive experience in CBT  I’ll work with you to understand your difficulties and what might be keeping them going. We begin with a thorough assessment and building a shared understanding (known as a psychological formulation) that helps make sense of your experience. CBT is an active, practical therapy — it's about more than talking. Together, we’ll gently face the things you’ve been avoiding and find new ways of responding that help you feel more in control and less stuck. A key part of this process is doing ‘behavioural experiments’, both during our sessions and between them, to help you test out beliefs about yourself, other people, and the world around you. As we approach the end of therapy, we’ll create a clear, personalised plan that captures everything you’ve learned and outlines how you can keep building on your progress long after our work together ends.
